Darkspell

Happy Halloween!

For a special treat, I joined a blog tour for Elizabeth Meuler's new book Darkspell. Here is her beautiful cover.

Here's the gist:

Winter Sky believes she is everything ordinary . . .until she is kissed by Alex Stormhold.
As seer of Stormhold Coven, Alex is sworn to be Winter’s protector against the darkness that hunts her. Violently thrust into a magical realm she always thought impossible, she stumbles upon a disturbing secret of her own.
Will love prove thicker than magic?

Doesn't that sound devine? I can't wait to get myhands on it. Speaking of getting your hands on it, you can pick up a copy by clicking here.

Now, about my blog for the day. I have a 10-year-old dressing up as Harry Potter this Halloween. It was a simple costume (sewn/crochetted by yours truly) and it got me thinking. What would I do if I had magic. Ya know what? There wasn't much that came to mind. Until I thought of laundry. Some Mary Poppins type magic would do me well. Sing a song, tidy a room, keep the children entertained and drink a spoon full of sugar when I'm feeling off-ish.
I don't want to take over the world. (Too much work.) Talk to the animals. (I hear way too much gibber-jabber as it is.) Read people's minds. (Umm, no) Control the elements. (Too much pressure.) Or make potions. (Whiny people wanting potions for this or that.) I just want a simple magic to make motherhood a snap. Oh, and the incredible singing voice would be nice too.
