You ate what?

For my weekly adventure into worlds unknown I ate this.




It is a Sweet Meat Squash. Deceptively green, mild in flavor, and hard as heck to cut through. I spent a good 20-25 minutes whacking the thick skinned monster apart. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised to find orange innards.

I micro-waved the two inch wide sections for 15 minutes with a little water and butter. Then, after a dash of salt I took a bite in the name of exploration. Low and behold, I liked it. Really. I guess, in the grand scheme of things, you can never judge a squash by its color.
